One: Remembering

Exodus 1-2 but especially 1:1-8

  1. A recent definition I heard of stress, from a Christian perspective is ‘forgetfulness’ – forgetting who God is and forgetting who we are.  The pharoah in the story of Moses (Exodus 1:8) forgot all that had gone before – what we can we do to avoid making the same mistake?
  2. Exodus 2:24 speaks of the importance of God remembering his people – what comfort is it to us that God always remembers.
  3. In what ways does giving thanks help us to remember?
  4. What else do we have to be thankful for? At Word and Spirit? In life? Have we counted our blessings recently?
